Mineral panning at the Lost River Mining Co. site has become very popular with visitors to Lost River. You purchase a bag of mineral sand and put it into a sifting box at the sluiceway where flowing water takes the sand away leaving a variety of collertifle minerals. Some of the minerals that appear are quartz, ruby, topaz, sapphire, emerald, amazonite, and many others.

 

To operate the 360-degree photo bubble: To look around Move pointer to right, left, top or bottom of photo and click and hold the left mouse button. The pointer will be shaped like an arrow, and the picture will turn in the direction the arrow is pointing. The closer the arrow is to the center of the picture, the slower the picture will rotate.

To zoom in: Move pointer to the upper center of the photo and the pointer will look like a diagonal pointer pointing right. This allows you to zoom in by left clicking your mouse (and holding down the button).

To zoom out: Move pointer to the lower center of the photo and the pointer will look like a diagonal pointer pointing to the left. This allows you to zoom out by left-clicking your mouse (and holding down the button).
